About
Danzico & Company is a film and design studio on a mission to shake up how urgent and important stories are told.
With a global team of filmmakers, designers, and investigative journalists, we dive beneath the surface to tell the stories that matter most: war, surveillance, abuse, disinformation, and the big systems shaping modern life. Our work challenges traditional formats, crafting entertaining narratives around urgent issues, built for emotional impact, cultural reach, long-term resonance, and even fandom.
We’ve partnered with the BBC, Google, Meadowlark Media, and leading NGOs. In 2023, the studio premiered two documentaries from Ukraine at the Tribeca Film Festival, Dumbo Film Festival, and Westminster City Hall in London.
We’re currently producing a feature documentary, along with a slate of ambitious projects spanning film, design, and immersive media.
Danzico & Company was founded by Matt Danzico, an award-winning journalist, filmmaker, and former innovation head at the BBC. Matt also launched NBC Left Field, NBCUniversal’s pioneering documentary studio in New York, and is recognized for reinventing cinematic journalism, driving innovation in augmented reality, and advancing visual storytelling on a global stage.
We go beyond traditional documentaries, blending journalism with art, technology, design, and data. We transform urgent stories into entertaining narratives that connect with audiences in bold, unexpected ways.
Entertaining stories designed to tilt the machine, unraveling the big systems that control our world.
